Maoists kill two civilians in Bastar

Suspected Maoists killed two civilians from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh in the restive Bastar region of Chhattisgarh on Monday.

“Kunja Brahmaiah and Kunja Seetaramaiah of Burakanakota village under Chitaru police station of Andhra Pradesh were killed by the Maoists in a Janatana Adalat (People’s Court) at Durma village of Sukma. The victims' dead bodies were found at Banda village under Konta police station,” informed Sukma district Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Singh.

“Both of them were beaten before being killed”, Mr.Singh said.
