On the eve of the festive season, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday issued a stern warning to mischief-makers, cautioning them against any effort to spread communal trouble in the State.
She told reporters at the Secretariat that an SMS containing disparaging remarks against a minority community was being sent out from three mobile phone numbers.
Decrying the move, Ms. Banerjee said she these were acts of extreme cowardice that were aimed at fomenting trouble during the festive season.
