Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, one of the prime accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case suffered a mild heart attack on Wednesday night and her condition is now stable, hospital sources said on Thursday.

37-year-old Thakur is undergoing treatment at the Nashik Civil Hospital, where she was shifted around 11 pm on Wednesday after she felt uncomfortable and also complained of stomach ache, they said.

Ms. Thakur was earlier admitted in Ayurveda Seva Sangh Hospital from where she was moved to the civil hospital.

Cardiologist Dr Avinash Dharmadhikari examined her on Wednesday night after she was admitted to the hospital’s ICU, the sources said.

Eleven accused of the Malegaon blast including Ms. Thakur, Major Prasad Purohit and others are currently in judicial custody.

All except Ms. Thakur are lodged in Nashik Road Central Jail.
