Maharashtra to hold mega-lok adalat

Expected to dispose over 1 lakh cases

All district and taluka courts in Maharashtra would hold mega-lok adalat on February 6, 2011, a first move to organise them simultaneously across the State, V.R. Kachre, deputy secretary of the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA), told The Hindu on Monday.

“We are expecting to dispose more then one lakh cases,” Mr. Kachre said.

"This is the first time they will be held all over the State on one day,” he said.
