A leopard entered a school and caused panic in upper Assam’s Jorhat district on Friday. Gardeners of St. Mary’s School at Rowriah found it near the school building at 11 a.m. Seeing them, the animal entered the school garden, said Headmistress Sister Lince. Forest Department officials have placed a cage with a prey inside to trap the animal. The school authorities declared holiday for the day.
