Lawyers’ strike enters 12th day in Jammu

Lawyers here continued to boycott courts as their strike against transfer of land registration work from judiciary to revenue department entered the 12th consecutive day on Thursday.

Led by Bar Association of Jammu president B S Salathia, the lawyers assembled at the Court complex and shouted slogans, demanding roll back of the government decision.

“We will intensify our as the government has totally turned a deaf ear to our demand,” Mr. Salathia told reporters here.

“Snatching of land registration work from lawyers will hit them economically,” he said.
