Kejriwal meets L-G ahead of session

May 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - NEW DELHI:

On a day when the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators targeted Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung in Delhi Assembly, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia met Mr. Jung on Tuesday.

The meeting took place at Raj Niwas around an hour before the Special Session of the Assembly started.

Chief Secretary K.K. Sharma was also present in the meeting, which sources said lasted for less than half an hour.

The meeting comes amidst a bitter power tussle between Raj Niwas and the AAP government over their respective administrative jurisdiction granted by the Constitution.

This is the first meeting between the two since the confrontation began.
