Kataria admitted to hospital in Chennai

Lieutenant Governor Virendra Kataria was taken to a private hospital in Chennai after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness on Thursday.

He was attended to by a team of doctors from JIPMER and the Government General Hospital. He was then advised to go to Chennai for further treatment.

He reached Chennai around 1.30 p.m., Raj Bhavan sources told The Hindu .

He was accompanied by Medical Superintendent of JIPMER J. Balachander.

He was undergoing tests before performing an angioplasty, sources said.
