Hoax bomb call sets off panic

This is the second incident in the recent times, the first one being a threat to a private school

Panic prevailed in the Puducherry municipal office here on Monday morning with police and bomb squad personnel combing the area following a bomb threat.

Around 11 a.m, the police control room here was alerted by the Tamil Nadu police, which received an anonymous call saying that a bomb had been planted in the Puducherry municipal office.

The control room immediately alerted the bomb squad and Grand Bazaar police.

The threat proved a hoax. This is the second such incident in the recent times.
