Haryana Government has decided to enter into a partnership with Indian Railways for speedy implementation of at least eight rail projects which had failed to take off.
For the purpose, the two stakeholders would be forming a Special Purpose Vehicle for raising of funds and a MoU to this effect would be signed soon.
A Haryana Government spokesperson said the rail projects which would be taken up for speedy implementation as part of MoU included Karnal-Yamuna Nagar Railway line, Fatehabad-Mansa-Bhatinda Railway line, Jakhal-Ratia-Fatehabad Railway line, Bhiwani-Loharu-Pilani-Churu Railway line, Rewari-Palwal via Bhiwari Railway line, Yamuna Nagar-Chandigarh Railway, Delhi-Sohna-Nuh-Ferozpur-Jhirka-Alwar Railway line and Hisar-Sirsa via Agroha Fatehabad Railway line.
The proposed joint venture company will be called ‘Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Haryana) Limited’ and given the short title of ‘H-RIDE’.
