Goa to resume mining

After deciding to issue renewed iron ore mining leases, the Goa Government on Thursday revoked its order of September 10, 2012, of suspending entire mining operations in the State paving the way for resumption of mining.

The State government has already renewed 87 mining leases ahead of MMRD Act amendment ordinance issued on January 12 last.
