Goa police seizes Chodankar’s laptop, dongle

The Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch of Goa police on Monday evening seized a laptop, a hard-disk and a mobile internet Dongle from Devu Chodankar who was interrogated from 11.30 am to 5 pm during the day, seeking to know his motive behind his controversial anti-Modi posts on facebook on March 23.

Goan shipping diploma holder is facing a police investigation over his controversial facebook post during the recently concluded Lok Sabha election campaign, following a private complaint lodged by a businessman with the police.

According to sources in the cyber Cell, to repeated questions on his motive behind the posts, Mr. Chodankar said he posted the anti-Modi\anti-BJP post on facebook reacting to the induction of Pramod Muthalik, controversial chief of Sri Ram Sene, Hindu rightwing group, by Karnataka BJP into its fold on March 23.

While Mr. Muthalik was inducted at 10 a.m., Mr. Chodankar's post was put at 11.30am, his lawyer Jatin Naik told The Hindu . He said that the interrogation was done in a very cordial atmosphere.
