With the administration having agreed to regularise 3472 temporary employees of the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council, the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha would take up the cases of those still to be regularised.
GJM General Secretary Roshan Giri will hold talks with Chief Secretary Ashok Mohan Chakraborty and Home Secretary Ardhendu Sen here on Tuesday on the regularisation of the remaining 3015 employees.
The regularisation earlier during talks at Darjeeling between the GJM and the administration led to the suspension of an indefinite strike that the temporary employees under the banner of the Jana Mukti Asthayee Karmachari Sangathan (JAKS) had gone on demanding regularisation.
“We will hold talks with the Chief secretary and Home Secretary for regularisation of these 3015 employees,” Mr. Giri told PTI.
To a question he said “a separate state of Gorkhaland is our one-point agenda and we will not accept anything else.”
He said the next tripartite meeting among the Central government, the State government and the DGHC would be held on December 21 to discuss the GJM demands.
