27-year-old Isha Mantry, from Mumbai, died after attending the Supersonic Electronic dance music (EDM) at Candolim in North coastal belt on Monday night.
The post-mortem will likely be conducted on Wednesday at the State Goa Medical College hospital after Isha's sister arrives in Goa from Dubai, police said.
The girl is suspected to have died of drug overdose, but the police have said that the cause of death will be ascertained only after post-mortem is conducted.
The Supersonic EDM at Candolim beach and Sunburn EDM at Vagator beach, which are the eye of the storm because of the tragedy, are scheduled to end on Tuesday night.
Sources in north Goa police told The Hindu that they have been recording statements of eyewitnesses and of the group of 12 people who had accompanied her on this trip. They had come to participate in the festival on Monday night.
Three of Isha's friends told police that she was on heavy antibiotics due to migraine. She was also said to be heavily intoxicated with beer at the EDM.
A senior police official said that the girl reportedly collapsed while dancing and was immediately attended to by a doctor present at the venue and rushed to hospital. However, this version contradicts with another police version which earlier said that she collapsed outside the venue of the EDM and at around 11.30 p.m. and attended to by doctor from the EDM, nearly 90 minutes after the EDM closed for the night.
Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have alleged that the girl died due to drug overdose and demanded action against EDM organisers and Tourism Minister, Dilip Parulekar.
This is second such case as a couple of years back, a Bengaluru-based girl was suspected to have died of drug overdose at Sun Burn EDM festival.
