The former Rajasthan Minister, Babulal Nagar, was remanded in the Central Bureau of Investigation’s custody for three days in connection with a rape and assault case after Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CBI Cases) Mahendra Kumar Mehta concurred with the prosecution counsel’s view that the former Minister’s detention was required for further probe into the case.

Mr. Nagar was arrested on Friday after a six-hour-long interrogation.

A 35-year-old married woman has alleged that Mr. Nagar beat her up and raped her.
