Five held for raping 16-yr-old

: Five persons involved in the sexual exploitation of a 16-year-old girl were arrested in Malkangiri district of Odisha.

The arrested persons include S. Sagaria, a class IV employee of health department and three students of Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

The victim was a school dropout from Goudaguda village under Malkangiri police station, who had studied up to Class VI.

According to police sources, she was raped several times in March.

Sagaria had promised to arrange a matriculation pass certificate and a job for the girl. She fell prey to his antic and stayed at his house.

On March 5, she was raped by Sagaria. After two days four of his acquaintances raped her.

Following a complaint, the police arrested the five persons involved in the incident.
