FB post leads to violence in Vadodara

Communal violence broke out in Fatehpur area under City police station in Vadodara on Thursday over a Facebook post. No casualties were reported.

According to the police, the violence broke out at around 1 p.m. following a Facebook post by Sunil Rahilji, a coaching class instructor. Some vehicles were set on fire.

Police arrested Rahulji and booked him under Section 295 A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings) of the IPC and Sections 65 and 66 of the Information Technology Act.
