Two police officers have been suspended in connection with the assault on MNS MLA Harshvardhan Jadhav in Aurangabad district, Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil today said.

Mr. Patil informed the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly that police inspectors Abhimaan Pawar and Suryakant Kokane have been suspended in connection with the assault in January.

Mr. Jadhav was beaten by police during Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan’s visit to Aurangabad, as he allegedly broke through the security cordon.
