Assam’s territory will be protected: Rajnath

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday assured Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal that the territorial integrity of the State would not be compromised with, amid reports of a possible peace settlement with Naga rebel group NSCN-IM.

This was conveyed when Mr. Sonowal called on Mr. Singh here, an Assam government statement said. A key demand of the group is the integration of Naga-inhabited areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.
