A 20-year-old student taking coaching for NEET entrance examination allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room in Kunhadi area here, police said on Wednesday.
Nikhil Kumar, who was from Bhagalpur district of Bihar, was preparing for the medical exam and had sought admission in a coaching institute in mid June this year, assistant sub-inspector Yogesh Kumar said.
The other students of the hostel complained of a foul smell coming out from his room which was bolted from inside following which the caretaker of the hostel informed the police, he said.
No suicide note has been recovered from his room.-PTI
