Seven inmates escaped from a juvenile remand home in Gaya district on Wednesday night.
The police said Arun Kumar, superintendent of the remand home, informed the Rampur police in a complaint that the seven inmates cut open the window grill of hall number 2.
“On Thursday, the complaint was converted into a First Information Report as their whereabouts could not be ascertained,” said Alok Kumar Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gaya Town.
The police of the districts from where the inmates hailed were also alerted, Mr. Singh said.
