Three more suspects — Ashish Gaonkar (22), Assagao, Sagar Naik (21) and Rohan Palyekar (21) — allegedly involved in the murder of Nigerian Obodo Uzoma Simoen, were arrested by Mapusa police of north Goa at Duler (Mapusa) on Monday afternoon.

On receipt of information that the three alleged accused, all hailing from the coastal belt of north Goa, were in Duler, Inspector Tushar Vernekar of the Mapusa police station rushed to Duler with his team and nabbed the trio.

With these arrests, the total number of arrested persons has gone up to nine in this case. Four accused are still absconding, the Mapusa police told The Hindu on Monday.

The Nigerian national was brutally murdered at Parra in north coastal Goa on the night of October 30.
