The anti-talks faction of the banned United Liberation Front of Asom triggered a bomb blast at Doomdooma in Assam on Thursday, injuring 13 persons, including two policemen.

The bomb planted on a footpath before a departmental store near Gandhichowk exploded at 6.45 p.m., the police said.

The injured included passersby besides the two policemen on duty nearby, sources said.

Three critically injured persons were admitted to the Tinsukia civil hospital.

Police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search.
