12 Maoists surrender

Twelve members of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) military wing, the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), surrendered before the police in Kanker district of Bastar on Friday.

“Twelve Maoists including Medaki Local Operating Squad Commander of the PLGA Somnath Darro, laid down their arms and decided to join the mainstream,” Kanker district Superintendent of Police R.N. Das said.
