12 killed as buses collide

Twelve people were killed and 34 injured when two buses collided head-on near a village on the Ferozpur-Fazilka road on Sunday, police said.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals at Faridkot and Ferozepur, he said. The accident took place when the two private buses coming from opposite directions rammed into each other near a toll barrier located close to village Mamu Johia. Some of those killed in the accident were sitting on the roof top of the buses.
