The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation on a writ petition filed by Kanimozhi, MP and daughter of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, seeking to quash the charges framed against her by the trial court in the 2G spectrum case. A Bench of Justices G.S. Singhvi and K.S. Radhakrishnan directed that the matter be listed after one week. She said the Supreme Court’s order, on a CBI application, staying all proceedings pending before the Delhi High Court, resulted in a violation of her fundamental right under Article 21 of the Constitution.
