Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji on his birth anniversary, saying the Maratha warrior king “touched several lives through his good governance”.

“Shivaji Maharaj shone on the battle field and left a mark in administration. He touched several lives through his good governance,” he said in another tweet.
