West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee greeted Amitabh Bachchan on his 71 birthday on Friday, describing the Bollywood superstar as “the man who has made a habit of redefining the meaning of the word legend.”

In a message posted on a social networking site, she said: “Rarely does someone combine fame and humility with such nonchalance, charm everyone without a wand, and deliver awe-inspiring performances so regularly. His magnetic personality continues to attract people of our country and abroad with effortless ease.”
