Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president and members will have their food along with the pilgrims at the Annadana Mandapam itself, according to board president A. Padmakumar.
Mr. Padmakumar, accompanied by board member K. Raghavan, said they had already informed the official concerned not to bring food for them to the Devaswom Guest House from Monday.
He said the higher officials of the TDB would also have the same food at the Annadana Mandapam so as to avoid unnecessary expenditure.
He said either the board president or a member would camp at Sabarimala through out the pilgrim season.
Mr. Padmakumar said there was a considerable increase in the revenue collection at Sabarimala this time around.
He said the revenue collection at Sabarimala crossed ₹5.09 crore during the first four days of the annual pilgrim season as against the ₹2.48 crore during the same period in the previous season.
