Highlighting ‘Make in India’

Two-day annual sports and cultural events of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kannur, highlighted the ‘Make in India’ theme.

The programmes concluded on March 1. Fashion shows on the theme ‘Fashion Spectrum 2015 Go Desi’ were held as part of the event. The inaugural function was held on the Kannur University grounds at Mangattuparamba. NIFT-Kannur Director Rajeev Panth inaugurated the event.

The sports and fashion show events were held on the NIFT campus. Fashion that jelled with the Indian tradition was on display at the fashion show.

The organisers said 30 sports, cultural, literary, and other events were organised.

The Department Fashion Technology of NIFT-Kannur lifted the championship by scoring the highest points.

Mr. Panth and NIFT Joint Director G. Ramesh Babu gave away the prizes to winning students.
