Sheela, actress
I was often asked if I had sung my own songs for films; P. Susheela’s voice was that perfect for me. Just as Yesudas’s was for Prem Nazir.
I have seen Susheela sing and always marvelled at the ease with which she sang even the most difficult of songs. It was my good fortune that many of her best songs in Malayalam was picturised on me.
Among those songs, my favourites include Poonthenaruvee… , Ezhu sundara raathrikal… , Karutha chakravala… and Malakhamaar vannu…
