A three-day folklore festival will be held at Cherukunnu from May 21 under the joint auspices of the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), the Kerala State Folklore Akademi and the Cherukunnu grama panchayat.
Akademi secretary A.K. Nambiar, DTPC secretary E.C. Raveendran and panchayat president K.V. Narayanan said at a press conference here that the festival was being organised as an occasion for the

Mulanchenda, Poorakkali, and Kolkali, among others. There would also be functions to honour folk artistes, seminars and documentary screening.
They said the occasion would also be used for collecting data on folk art forms.
