Ruling out any leadership change in the State government, Union Defence Minister A. K. Antony urged the opposition to wait patiently till the courts take a decision on contentious issues.
Speaking in Kochi on Tuesday, Mr. Antony criticised the “opposition’s agitation of dragging the family members of the politicians” into political issues. It’s not a good tendency, he said.
“The opposition’s agitations have crossed all limits. No one should ever dream of forcing the Chief Minister to resign by unleashing violence on the streets”, he said.
Mr. Antony also said that there was no political crisis in the state. “I could not closely follow the political developments in the state as I was away at China for a few days. I came down to Kerala to attend the funeral of my sister. The protest unleashed by the opposition has violated all limits of decency”, he said.
