Three people, including a woman and her son, died and five were injured after a car ran over them near Babalad Cross on Yadgir-Wadagera Main Road in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district late on Sunday evening.
The police gave the name of victims as Eramma Sadashivareddy (42), her son Sachin (17) and Samuel (62), all from Kandalli village in Shahapur taluk.
All the injured have been referred to Raichur for treatment after preliminary medical aid at the District General Hospital in Yagdir. The condition of one of the injured persons is said to be critical.
