Seminar on ‘Hazrat Sayyad Muhammed Madani Miya Ashrafi al Jilani’ inaugurated

Prominent speakers at the inaugural event of the 3-day national seminar on “Shaikh-ul-Islam Sayyad Muhammed Madani Miya Ashrafi al Jilani: Shaks Aur Aks” called upon the Muslim community members to inculcate the spiritual values of the internationally renowned sufi saint for the spiritual progress and betterment of the community and the world at large.

The seminar is a first of its kind and held on the life and personality of the saint. It has been organised by the Hazrat Sayed Abdullah Basheban Academy (Belagavi) and underway at Mahatma Gandhi Bhavan on College Road in the city.

Prof. Sayed Tariq Saeed Ashrafi, Chairman, Dept. of Urdu, Awadh University, Faizabad (U.P.), who inaugurated the seminar, said the all the best intellectual and spiritual qualities stood personified in Hazrat Sayyad Muhammed Madani Miya Ashrafi al Jilani. His literary works and poetry on Islamic philosophy need to be inculcated in day to day life. His thirst for knowledge remained insatiable right from his childhood days.

Mufti Aal-e-Mustafa Misbahi, Darul Uloom Amjadiya, Ghosi of Mau district of U.P. delivered the keynote address and expressed similar views and remarked that the Muslim community was greatly indebted to the Hazrat for his highly valuable contribution to spirituality among the community across the world. He said the works of Hazrat needs to be continued by the intellectuals from the community.

Thirty six speakers from different parts of the country have been slated to present papers and speak in six sessions (two each every day) on the life of Hazrat during the three days. A magazine “Basheban” was released on the occasion. President of Faizaan-E-Basheban Trust, Belagavi Sayed Muneer Pasha Basheban Inamdar and Secretary Mehboob Patel and others were present.
