Satish L. Jarkiholi, who sent his resignation letter as Minister for Small Scale Industries and Belagavi district in-charge the moment he was asked to resign from the Siddaramaiah ministry on Saturday afternoon, took the party high command's decision in his stride.

Speaking to reporters on the cabinet reshuffle and his exit from the ministry, he said he accepted the party high command's decision with no ill feelings. One could contribute to work for development and progress for his or her constituency and district even without the ministerial post and he would continue to work for the development of his Yamkanmardi assembly constituency in the district.

He said his resignation had been accepted. He assured to cooperate with the Minister and the new district in-charge minister to keep the various development works taken up during his termon track. The cabinet reshuffle was expected and the decision to give opportunity to other senior and young members of the party was taken by the party high command, added Mr. Jarkiholi.

Protest by supporters

Members of the Satish Jarkiholi Abhimani Balaga staged a protest at Rani Channamma Circle in the city in the afternoon. Balaga members threatened to launch an aggressive agitation to see him back into the ministry or a coveted post in the Congress State unit.
