Authorities at the KSEEB said the trend of hall tickets being returned to the Board due to shortage of attendance happens year after year. Over the past two academic years, over 13,000 candidates each year have been unable to appear for the exam due to shortage of attendance.
The Education Department officials said they have been making efforts to ensure that special attention is given to students lacking attendance, particularly in the light of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation being introduced from this year.
