Describing the visit of Congress president Rahul Gandhi to various temples in the State as ‘religious tourism’, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal wondered why Mr. Gandhi was visiting temples only ahead of the Assembly elections. Addressing presspersons here on Sunday, he said Mr. Gandhi had started visiting temples ahead of the Gujarat election. “And now, he has started visiting temples here,” he said.

Attack condemned

Condemning the militant attack on Army camp in Jammu on Sunday in which five jawans were killed, Mr. Goyal accused the Congress of playing politics over such a sensitive issue. Alleging that the Congress has been disrespecting the jawans, he said that they had also cast a doubt over the surgical strike conducted by the Army against Pakistan.
