South Western Railway (SWR) provided a one-minute halt to Shivamogga Town-Mysuru Fast Passenger express at Beeravalli (Beerahalli) station in K.R. Pet taluk in the district from Wednesday.

This will particularly help devotees who frequently visit various religious centres in the vicinity of Beeravalli and Akki Hebbal in the taluk.

Cheering the decision, a good number of people visited the railway station and distributed sweets when the train stopped at the station at 11.20 a.m. They also decorated the engine with flowers and thanked SWR.
