Actor and Union Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi on Monday campaigned in Chickballapur Lok Sabha constituency for Congress candidate M. Veerappa Moily.

Mr. Chiranjeevi landed at Kempegowda International Airport in the morning and started his campaign at Yelahanka. Later, he held roadshows in Chickballapur, Bagepalli and Gauribidanur Assembly segments, along with incumbent and former legislators. People gathered in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the star.

Addressing a gathering after the roadshow in Chickballapur, Mr. Chiranjeevi said that Mr. Moily contributed immensely to the development of the constituency, both as MP and Minister.

Noting that Mr. Moily was instrumental in introducing the Common Entrance Test (CET) which helped a large number of students, Mr. Chiranjeevi said that supporting Mr. Moily would help in the development of Chickballapur.
