Mandya Karnataka 30_October_2014 : Additional Director-General of Police (Prisons) K.V. Gagandeep, Mandya Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase and others visited Mandya sub-jail in Mandya on October 30, 2014

K.V. Gagandeep, Additional Director-General of Police (Prisons), on Thursday visited the district sub-jail here.

Mr. Gagandeep was accompanied by Mandya Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase. He inspected various sections of the jail and interacted with the prisoners. According to official sources, Mr. Gagandeep told the inmates, “The State government is taking measures to release prisoners from various jails, who had completed 14 years of their sentence.”

Not by choice, but by chance the inmates had committed offences that had made them to spend their valuable time/days in jails. However, the government was considering releasing some of them on grounds of good conduct and performance, he said. Mr. Gagandeep and Mr. Borase suggested the inmates to lead an independent and dignified lives after getting released from the jail. Jail superintendent Satish and others were present.
