Four persons died in two accidents in the district.
Nagesh (39) and his daughter N. Jivitha (13) from Chintamani in Chickballapur district, died in an accident near Nagatihalli on National Highway 75 on Thursday, Nagamangala police said.
Mr. Nagesh’s wife Savitha (33) and son N. Vivek (9) suffered serious injuries after the car in which they were travelling hit the road median.
R. Chandrashekar (30) of Leelavati Layout and D. Dileep Goutham (27) of Siddartha Nagar in Maddur were killed when their motorcycle hit a lorry that was taking a turn on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway on Wednesday, the police said.
Maddur traffic police have arrested the lorry driver Chinnaganganna of Andhra Pradesh and seized his vehicle.
