Four die in collision between car, KSRTC bus

Four persons were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus near Halahalli–Balegaru village on National Highway 206 in Sagar taluk on Thursday.

The victims were identified as Hanumoji Rao (50), Gurumurthy Belkodu (27), Prakash (37) and Mahesh(30), hailing from Ripponpet village.

Three of them died on the spot, while Prakash died on the way to a hospital in Shimoga.

Two others, who were in the car, were injured.

The four were on their way to Jog falls for a picnic. According to the police, the negligence of the bus driver led to the accident.
