A farmer died of heart attack at Nandikallakere in Turuvekere taluk of Tumakuru district on Saturday, but the family members allegedly tried to project it as suicide. The deceased Rajanna (40) worked at a co-operative society on daily wages. According to the police, Rajanna complained of chest pain around 3 a.m. on Saturday. He was immediately taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. The family members, however, said he had committed suicide by hanging at a cow shed due to loan burden. But the officers did not find any strangulation mark on his neck. A case of natural death has been registered at Turuvekere police station.
