Ensure safety of children, police personnel advised

The Mysuru City Police, the District Police, the Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) and the 5th Battalion of Karnataka State Reserve Police Force (KSRP) jointly observed the Police Flag Day here on Thursday.

An impressive parade by the police personnel and felicitation to the retired police officers marked the event held at the City Armed Reserve Grounds.

Retired DG and IGP S. Mariswamy was the chief guest.

Inspector-General of Police (Southern range) B.K. Singh, Superintendent of Police Abhinav Khare, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vinayak Patil and other officers were present.

Mr. Mariswamy, in his address, asked the police personnel to ensure the safety of citizens and implementation of laws for the well-being of society.

C. Rangaiah from Mysuru City Police; Basavanna and Shanmugham from Mysuru District Police; B. Appacchu from KSRP; R. Shankar from KPA; K. Narayan Rao from KARP Mounted Police Battalion; Felix M. Joseph from Police English Band; and C. Somanna from Karnataka Police Band were felicitated.
