Coir unit in Mala

Kadur C. Nanjappa, Chairman of Karnataka State Coir Development Corporation, said on Monday that a mega coir unit would be set up at Mala village in Karkala taluk under the Tengu Bhagya Scheme. Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Nanjappa said that efforts were being made to promote coir development in Udupi district. Eight houses would be provided to coir workers at Mala.

Three houses for three Scheduled Tribes families would be provided at Mudur village in Kundapur taluk. A house would be provided to one Scheduled Tribes family at Eedubare village.
