CITU blames Centre for price rise

Improve condition of workers in unorganised sector: protesters

Published - June 15, 2013 10:27 am IST - Mandya:

A large number of activists under the banner of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) staged a demonstration in the city on Friday against the “irresponsible policies of the State and Union governments that have resulted in price rise.”

The activists staged the protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office here and raised slogans against the State and Union governments.

CITU leader C. Kumari said: “the anti-people policies of the UPA government are the main reason for the price rise”.

Protesters highlighted the plight of workers in the unorganised sector, and demanded the Centre to take corrective steps.
