‘Ban obscene posters’

Expressing serious concern over growing menace of obscene cinema posters in the town, the Karnatka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti and ‘Chiguru’, a cultural non-government organisation sought ban on them.

In a memorandum submitted to the district administration on Tuesday, leaders of the organisations said that the women and girls were facing embarrassment due to such posters pasted at public places like markets and bus stands.

They distract the attention of the students as well, the memorandum said and sought stringent action against those pasting such graffiti.
