The district administration has set up an Aadhaar enrolment centre at the tahsildar’s office here.

E. Venkata Ravana Reddy, Planning Director of the District Urban Development Cell, and other officials inaugurated the centre here on Wednesday.

People in Mandya, who are yet to register for Aadhaar, can enrol themselves at the centre, Mr. Reddy said.

Urging all the residents to get themselves enrolled, the officer opined that Aadhaar will soon become mandatory for getting benefits of the government schemes.

Mandya tahsildar V. Priyadarshini, District Social Welfare Officer B. Malathi and others were present.
