Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday said there was no need for discussion on Article 370 and whatever needed to be done should be done.

“What is the need of discussion over it [Article 370]? Whatever that has to be done, should be done,” he told journalists here. Discussions would yield nothing, he added.

Mr. Thackeray also demanded that a uniform civil code should be applied in the country.

Clarifying the party's stand on the controversy over the Cabinet post, he said that there was no dispute between the Sena and the BJP.
